Meet Naomi.

Naomi is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She is guided by her faith and her love for the gospel. She was baptized at the age of 18. Every question asked was directed to an answer with Christ at its center.

How have you found joy in the journey?

The gospel is what does it. Getting to know people. Having a family. Seeing people grow and I love doing Genealogy.

Your husband was a judge, how did that affect your life?

It has affected me because I never felt very smart, and I felt he was.  It was hard to know myself-If I have good self esteem or if I depend too much on him.  If he knows it’s going to rain, we need to just prepare for it. I just look for the sunshine after the rain.

Do you think people are innately good?

I think so. I’ve just found that they are. I’m sure Heavenly Father has put some good in there.

What are some things you love to do?

Gardening. We love to garden. I’ve always loved to cook but Robert [her husband] recently took over the cooking. I love music, I love to call people on their birthday and sing to them. I love leading the music at church. I have 50 hymns memorized. I sing the first verse of 5 different hymns before I pray, every time I pray. Because music brings the spirit.

If you had to pick your favorite non religious music, what would you pick?

We love Lawrence Welk, we watch him every saturday at 7pm. I love the 3 Tenors, but one of them just died. You just don’t find music anymore like you used to.

What was your profession?

I was a fulltime nurse for 10 years. I just loved it.

What is your mission statement?

Love one another.

Her picture is stunning and reminds me of why we shoudl embrace our wrinkles and be the perosn God wants us ot be! I also love that she sings a Hymn before prayer. Nothing does bring the spirit like sacred music!

  3. Tif, I am just now getting the opportunity to enjoy this project of yours. I couldn’t think of more beautiful person for you to choose than Naomi. She is breath of fresh air in any setting. I have loved her from the moment I met her. Thank you for sharing this and for capturing a small part of what makes her so amazing. Love you-

    • I am so glad you could read this. One of my favorite things about Naomi is that she really has no idea what an amazing woman she is. She is so humble. I think we all need to remember to tell each other how we feel about each other, so nothing ever goes unsaid, or unknown. Amy, thanks for taking the time to read this. I sure do love you.
